Armed Force's America's Kids Run Set for May 16
On your mark, get set, go! Armed Force's America's Kids Run, the world's largest children's running event, will be hosted on Military installations worldwide on May 16, 2015. The America's Kids Run began in 1986 as the Junior Bloomsday race in Spokane, Washington. That first run attracted 3,800 children. In 2002, race organizers changed the name and expanded it to include military dependents at installations around the world. Over the past 29 years hundreds of thousands of youth have participated. Many Air Force locations conduct America's Adult 5k runs in conjunction with the Kids Run and volunteers are always needed. Contact your local Youth or Fitness Center to participate or volunteer.
