Decadent, flavorful, simple and chocolaty – this dessert is a treat for guests and an ideal family meal finale. Sift a little unsweetened cocoa powder onto the whipped topping for a beautiful finishing touch.
1. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water in a small saucepan; let stand 1 minute. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, about 3 minutes or until gelatin dissolves. Remove from heat and allow to cool. 2. Add cocoa powder and chocolate syrup to cooled gelatin mixture, stirring with a whisk until smooth. Fold in 2 cups whipped topping. Do not over-blend. 3. Spoon mixture evenly into 6 individual dessert dishes. Cover each dish and chill 2 hours or until firm. 4. When ready to serve, top each serving with 2 tablespoons whipped topping.
